All India Civil Services Badminton Tournament Inaugurated at Peddem<\/p>\n

Mapusa: The Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Goa, successfully inaugurated the All India Civil Services Badminton Tournament 2025-26 on February 15 at the Dayanand Bandodkar Krida Sankool in Mapusa.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The tournament was inaugurated by Dr. Ajay R. Gaude, Director of the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs and Ex-officio Joint Secretary to the Government of Goa. Also present on the occasion were Shri Ashwani Kumar, Observer from the Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board under the Department of Personnel and Training, New Delhi, Shri Keshav Sharma, Convener, Dr. Vivek Pawar, Deputy Director of Sports and Youth Affairs, Shri Sumit M.R., High Performance Director of Khelo India, Shri Irwin Cordo, Assistant Director (Coaching), Shri Prakash Satarkar, Scheme In-charge, and Ms. Anar Singbal, Referee for the tournament.<\/p>\n

During the inaugural ceremony, an oath-taking ceremony was also conducted, where participating players pledged to uphold the spirit of sportsmanship and fair play throughout the competition.<\/p>\n

A total of 43 States, Regional Sports Boards (RSB), and Secretariat teams, along with three Union Territories, have reported participation in the tournament. Around 1,200 players were present for the inaugural function.<\/p>\n

Team Goa is also participating in the prestigious national-level tournament, competing alongside civil services teams from across the country.<\/p>\n

The tournament aims to promote sportsmanship, unity, and healthy competition among civil servants from various states and departments across India.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
